If you are not a white supremacist, yet feel ambiguous about your own white cultural script (especially concerning the element of culture involving our history or heritage), please click the link below. It is not enough to believe–even in your very heart of hearts–that racism in American classrooms, and in societies outside of America, no longer exists. If your white self, and my white self are not seeking to connect with those who are different from ourselves, on purpose, then we may be despising non-white cultures, their children, families, heritage–on accident.
This absolutely should not be as it is. There is only one solution, and I am afraid that as simple as that solution sounds, it is by no means easy–no, it is a solution that is about as hard as nails as there gets.
